I love the way the glaze stops short at the base too, leaving that warm sandy clay exposed and giving the whole piece such a lovely contrast.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe lid is finished with fine rusty red and brown bands, and then there is that incredible tall bamboo handle, tied neatly into the ceramic lugs at either side. It gives the teapot such a strong mid-century feel and makes it just as beautiful as an object as it is practical to use.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere is something particularly lovely about a teapot like this sitting out in the kitchen, substantial, beautifully made and completely individual.
