Hall & Woodhouse, Powell Bristol Codd Bottle

A gorgeous Aqua glass codd bottle made circa 1890 by Hall & Woodhouse and distributed in Bristol. Intact with its marble, this bottle was found while mudlarking! The glass marble was added into bottles that held carbonated drinks, to keep it airtight. The pressure of the gas in the bottle forced the marble against the washer, sealing in the carbonation.

Vintage condition: in great condition with no chips or cracks. Expected signs of age to the bottle and some cloudiness to the glass.
