Rare Studio Pottery Pestle & Mortar by Vera Tollow

A beautifully hand-thrown studio pottery pestle and mortar by the highly regarded British ceramicist Vera Tollow, known for her earthy glazes and tactile, honest forms. This set features a speckled ochre glaze over a warm stoneware body, with the pestle bearing a striking hand-painted motif at the base in rich iron oxide, such a beautiful added detail. 

Signed ‘Tollow’ to the base, this is a rare functional piece of British craft heritage, perfect for a cook’s kitchen or collector’s shelf. Ideal for grinding spices, herbs, or seeds.
