Vintage 1940s Hand-Painted Watercolour Miniature Paper Ships

These adorable paper ships have been handmade and intricately hand-painted with watercolours. They are likely to be from China and made circa the 1940s. When I found them they were in a little envelope and there was a note that said ‘hand-painted paper ships, China 1940s?’  I believe that they may have been sent as ‘freebies’ with Chinese imports which as tea? They have been beautifully made and are so delicate, they would be a lovely addition to a shelf, or make great keepsakes and gifts. They are definitely little objects to treasure!
