Antique 19th Century Brass Shell Shaped Ottoman Pouch | Cartridge Holder with Leather Strap

A beautiful solid brass shell shaped ottoman cartridge pouch of Persian origin. This would have been attached to a belt with its leather strap. An intricately made object with hand-etched details. We believe that this dates circa the early-mid 19th century and would make a beautiful display piece and could equally be used as a vesta case for storing matches. It’s made from solid brass and has a real leather strap. An excellent, unusual display piece or fantastic for a collector.

Vintage condition: In great condition for its age, with some beautiful natural patina to the brass. The leather strap is delicate but not damaged, due to its age the outer layer of the leather is starting to wear away.
