Antique Art Nouveau Brass Vesta Case with Woman & Floral Repoussé

A beautiful antique brass Vesta case dating to the late 19th / early 20th century, featuring a repoussé design of a woman with long, flowing hair surrounded by flowers in the Art Nouveau style. Wonderfully pocket-sized and richly decorative, with the soft worn patina that only comes with age and years of handling.

Originally used to hold matches, this piece now makes a lovely decorative object for a coffee table, shelf or desk, equally beautiful styled amongst books, shells and gathered treasures. We have added an olive green silk ribbon for hanging, and it will arrive filled with fresh matches ready to use or display.

We especially love the romantic flowing hair and sculptural relief work of this one; a tiny object full of character and charm.
