Antique Art Nouveau Handmade Copper Planter - Scalloped Edge & Etched Birds

This is one of those pieces that feels instantly special the moment you hold it. A beautifully handmade solid copper planter from the Art Nouveau period, full of warmth, age, and the soft imperfections that make old metalwork so lovely.

The scalloped rim is gently uneven in that charming, hand-worked way, and the sides are finished with tiny hand-riveted copper nails, each one slightly different, each one placed with care. Etched around the body are delicate little birds in flight, simple and sweet, adding a quiet sense of movement to the copper.

I adore the patina on this one, warm, mellow tones with touches of natural verdigris that show its years in the best way. It’s the perfect size for a small plant (as shown), but would also be lovely for storing utensils, brushes, or simply displayed on its own as a wonderful piece of folk art.
