Antique Blue & Cream English Slipware Bowl

A truly beautiful antique slipware bowl. The painterly slip trails in a beautiful cream swirl playfully around the outside, dancing over a deep, soft blue glaze that’s beautifully crazed with age. It has that kind of character I’m always drawn to, handmade, imperfect, and unapologetically itself.

Likely made in an English studio in the early 20th century, it’s the kind of bowl that feels just right in a home that’s lived-in and loved. I’ve styled it here with a simple pillar candle, but it’s equally lovely for holding small treasures or used for salt by the stove, matches on a sideboard, or taking price of place on a coffee table.
