A beautiful and rather unusual antique English stoneware preserve jar, finished in the most gorgeous deep cobalt blue glaze, with a lovely rounded shape and flared rim.

Traditionally used for storing preserves, mustard or potted meats, these old English stoneware jars are most commonly found in shades of brown, cream and white, making this rich cobalt blue example a particularly lovely find.

A wonderful little piece of antique kitchen history, perfect for holding matches beside a favourite candle, displaying little flowers or adding a beautiful splash of colour to open kitchen shelving.
