A richly decorative French faience plate made by the historic Blois Faiencerie, established in 1862 by Ulysse Besnard in the Loire Valley. This piece is marked L. F. Blois and showcases the highly detailed, hand-painted tradition of the region—characterised by deep cobalt blues, scrolling foliage, heraldic elements, and a soft mottled green centre.
Dimensions;
Diameter: 26cm
The plate’s ornate crest-like design features crowned lions and fleur-de-lis flourishes, bordered by ochre yellows and inky blues on a gently scalloped edge. It’s both a striking standalone piece and a beautiful layering element among collected ceramics.
Stunning as a wall plate or table centrepiece—we love it styled with a chunky candle, a dried hydrangea, or simply admired for its artistry.
