A beautifully sturdy vintage French stoneware planter, dating to around the 1930s. Made from richly pigmented red clay with a pale sandy glaze, this piece was originally intended for use as a planter — not repurposed — making it a true example of practical, everyday gardenware from early 20th century France.
The classic form features a generous rolled rim and tapering sides, with a softly textured glaze and natural terracotta tones peeking through at the base. A central drainage hole confirms its original purpose, while subtle signs of age add to its rustic charm.
Perfect for ferns, herbs, or seasonal blooms — equally lovely indoors or out.
