A rare and utterly charming example of handmade folk brassware, this antique solid brass spoon is a celebration of rural life and craftsmanship. At the top of the intricately cast handle stands a sweet little cow, standing proudly on a plinth, adding both character and symbolic charm — likely a nod to agricultural heritage or a traditional pastoral scene.
The spoon itself is weighty, with a wide, shallow bowl and a beautifully imperfect, hand-twisted stem. Its surface shows signs of age and use, with a rich patina and subtle dimples that only add to its rustic allure. We’ve added a green gingham ribbon for hanging — perfect for displaying on a kitchen hook, above a hearth, or even as a statement piece on a gallery wall.
These types of handmade brass spoons are increasingly hard to find, especially with such a distinctive and well-preserved design. A true one-of-a-kind treasure.
