Antique Victorian Majolica Corn on the Cob Ceramic Vessel

This beautiful antique majolica vessel has been made to resemble a corn on the cob, with the most incredible raised detailing and a gorgeous glaze in soft buttery yellows, earthy greens and little touches of turquoise.

I particularly love this piece because you so often find majolica corn jugs, but I’ve never come across a vessel in this lovely, simple shape. It’s beautifully aged, with years of stories written into its glaze, and has that wonderful timeworn character I’m always drawn to.

Perfect as a little vase for dried flowers, a pot for paintbrushes or pencils, or even as a planter.

Condition: Wonderfully aged, with signs of wear and crazing throughout, alongside a few small chips to the inner rim, all consistent with its age and history. Just the sort of perfectly imperfect details that make antique pieces so special. (Please see photos)
