Antique Victorian Brass Chamberstick with Scalloped Edge circa 1896

This stunning chamberstick stamped with RD No 282456 dates to around 1896 and carries over a century of quiet history in its weight. Made from solid brass with a lovely scalloped edge and double finger loop handle, this chamber stick would once have lit the way to bed or softly illuminated a corner table at night.

Its golden surface has a gentle, aged patina, with just the right balance of shine and softness. Use it with a short taper candle for a warm, flickering glow, it’s perfect on a bedside stool, bookshelf, or for slow evenings spent reading.
