Antique Victorian ‘Forget Me Not’ Miniature Jug Pair

These antique Victorian miniature jugs feature a beautiful basket weave body, each one formed in an early mould, made in two halves, carefully joined, and then finished by hand. You can feel that process in them; slight variations, soft irregularities, the quiet evidence of the maker. 

Each jug is adorned with hand-painted forget me not florals in that unmistakable soft cobalt blue, trailing gently across the surface. The glaze has settled into the weave in places, catching the light and giving them a subtle depth that feels almost like fabric.

They’re small, but full of presence, perfect for holding matches, dried stems, or simply sitting side by side on a shelf or tray.

A rare and charming pair, with just the right amount of imperfection to make them feel truly special.
