Vintage Handmade Solid Brass Wall Plate – Wildflower Motif by GILDE, West Germany

A stunning handmade solid brass wall plate, embossed with a wildflower design and marked by GILDE—known for their artisanal West German metalwork. This piece, found in Prenzlauer Berg, features a bold daisy surrounded by grasses and seed-heads, rendered in high-relief embossing. It carries the weight, texture, and character of true craftsmanship, and has developed a glowing, natural patina over time.

The plate’s subtly uneven shape and softly rippled rim reflect its handmade origins—no two pieces would be exactly alike. The surface bears the organic textures of hand tooling and age: gentle indentations, slight irregularities, and a warm golden tone that shifts beautifully in the light.
