Handmade Studio Pottery Bowl by Syl and Ray Macro, Floral Design & Scalloped Edge

A truly special piece of studio pottery, full of texture, soft colours and intricate details. This wide, shallow bowl is handmade by Syl and Ray Macro of Macro Ceramic Gallery in Alston, Cumbria. It features a softly scalloped edge and a hand-carved floral motif that rings the inner rim like a wildflower garland. The glaze is a calming combination of stony cream and soft, chalky blue like a faded sky above a field in early summer.

The impressed lines radiating from the centre give it a gentle sunburst feel, while the speckled clay body and subtle irregularities speak to its handmade nature. Decorative, yet entirely functional, perfect as a fruit bowl, for serving at the table, or as a beautiful piece of wall art. An incredible one of a kind piece.
