Incredible One-of-a-Kind Studio Pottery Figure – Folk Art Lady (Signed)

This extraordinary sculptural lady was discovered in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin — a completely unique piece of studio pottery folk art, full of personality and handmade charm. She’s been hand-built, intricately glazed, and signed by the maker on the base — a true one-off, with no other like her, she is full of life, character and quiet humour. 

Hand-built and hand-glazed, she wears a blue polka-dot dress, a gentle expression, and holds a bunch of roses in one arm and a handbag in the other. There’s something deeply human about her—joyful and a little wistful, like she’s part of a story you half-remember - Hiraeth. 

Signed at the base, though the maker’s mark is hard to decipher, it’s clear this was sculpted by hand in a small studio—likely mid-to-late 20th century, European, and most likely German. The glazes are bright and expressive, with the kind of brushy imperfection that only adds to her charm.

There are small chips on her hair and hat, but they don’t distract from her spirit—in fact, they seem to suit her. She’s lived a little, and it only adds to her story.
