A beautiful mid-century studio pottery jug by Wattisfield Ware, made in England circa the late 1950s to early 1960s. This beautifully hand-thrown terracotta vessel features a richly toned triple slip glaze, deep forest green at the rim, a warm cream body, and a reddish-brown base, with abstract, painterly brushstrokes in soft charcoal and teal, evocative of stylised leaves or petals.

Its tactile, hand-finished form and subtle imperfections speak to its artisan roots, and the bold yet earthy palette brings a grounded charm to any setting. Ideal for use as a rustic water pitcher, a vase for wild garden stems (as pictured), or a characterful shelf display in a kitchen or studio.
