Vintage 1950s Handmade Folk Art Ride On Swan

How incredible is this gorgeous swan!? This beautiful handmade and hand-painted toy was made by a father for his daughter in the 1950s and has been in the same family for 3 generations up until now. The family who I bought this beautiful piece from were down-sizing and wanted this stunning handmade piece to find a new loving home. 

Lovingly handmade from wood and carefully painted, it rocks back and forth and is the perfect play piece as well as being a sculptural beauty. It has gorgeous original chippy paint, and signs of prior use which add so much character. A completely unique piece of folk art, the only one in the world like this (how lovely is that!?)

Vintage condition: A piece with heaps of character, signs of age from prior use, chippy paint and marks of wear, some rubber and trim missing off the pedals. No structural damage and still fully functional, (please see photos).
