A truly special find for collectors and lovers of coastal pottery, this rare studio teapot is the work of renowned Norfolk potter Kevin Warren. Known for his whimsical, sea-inspired forms and painterly glazes, Warren’s pieces are highly sought-after, and this one is an absolute showstopper.
Hand-thrown and full of character, the teapot stands proudly on four sculpted incredible shell feet, each one carefully formed and glazed with rich, tactile texture. The body is decorated in oceanic swathes of turquoise, aqua, and sea-glass blue, with etched fish and beautiful blue brush strokes around its centre. The spout and handle are finished in bold, brushy strokes of cobalt, giving it an almost animated liveliness.
Every inch of this piece bears the hallmarks of careful craftsmanship and playful, sea-swept storytelling, from the hand-carved fish motifs underneath to the painterly decoration on the lid.
Whether displayed as a statement in a coastal home, styled among a collection of British studio pottery, or gifted to a tea and ceramics lover, this is a true treasure.
