Vintage 1930s Butter Yellow Scalloped Studio Pottery Candle Holder

Such a beautiful piece of 1930s pottery, with the most wonderful sweeping scalloped edge and a soft butter yellow glaze that feels impossible not to love.

Handmade with a beautifully simple form, the raised candle holder sits at the centre while the edges curve and fold around it like petals. I especially love the combination of that playful shape with the warmth of the yellow glaze, cheerful without feeling too bright, and so lovely layered amongst older, quieter pieces for a pop of colour.

A really special little piece of early twentieth-century pottery that still feels incredibly at home in a modern interior.
