Vintage 1950s Handpainted Fairground Hook-a-Duck

These delightful vintage fairground ducks date from the 1950s and were originally part of a traditional “hook-a-duck” game. Handmade from wood and hand-painted in bold yellow with splashes of green, red beaks, and sky-blue eyes, each duck boasts a wonderfully chippy patina that tells stories of summer fairs gone by.

Their timeworn character, visible brushstrokes, and slightly varying shapes and paint marks make every duck one of a kind. With original metal hooks still intact, they’re perfect for display — whether perched on a shelf, styled in a child’s room, or as quirky folk art for your home.
