Vintage 1950s Tin Sandwich Box (Option 1)

A charming midcentury sandwich tin in classic cream enamel, embossed simply with “SANDWICH BOX” - a perfect example of utilitarian British design from the 1950s. Made from tinplate with a hinged lid and ribbed sides, it carries the kind of honest wear that tells of countless picnics and packed lunches shared across time.

I actually found one of these for myself recently, and since sharing it on Instagram, so many of you loved it that I had to source a few for Hiraeth Vintage. This is the best preserved of the two I have available, with a lovely sheen to the enamel and only gentle surface wear. Inside, it remains clean and bright, ready for its next chapter.
