Vintage Brass & Enamel Butterfly Dish / Wall Hanging

A truly beautiful vintage solid brass butterfly, intricately etched and hand-painted in rich enamel tones of cream, red, green, and navy. The detailing is exquisite, from the patterned wings to the delicate texture of the brass and there’s a lovely natural verdigris in places that adds to its age and charm.

It can be displayed flat and used as a decorative trinket dish, or hung on the wall using the small loop on the reverse. Either way, it makes a beautiful statement piece, a perfect blend of folk art and bohemian elegance.

I was immediately drawn to this piece as it reminds me of the butterfly that hangs on Hiraeth Cottage, the one featured in our logo, a quiet symbol of home and Hiraeth. 

A piece that brings warmth, colour, and gentle poetry to any space.
