Vintage Buckfast Abbey Studio Pottery Brown & Olive Creamer Jug

Such a beautiful little piece of studio pottery, made by Buckfast Abbey Ceramics and stamped to the base.

I love the glaze on this one - a rich, glossy deep brown that shifts into little hints of olive green as the light catches it, with the throwing lines still visible beneath. It has such a lovely shape too, with a full rounded body, softly flared pouring lip and a generous looped handle.

A really beautiful little jug that feels wonderfully earthy and substantial for its size. Perfect as a creamer at the table, for a few garden flowers, a match holder or simply sitting on an open shelf amongst other treasured pottery.
