Vintage Churchill’s 1990s Post Box Money Tin

This little Churchill’s post box tin feels like stepping straight back into a 1990s Christmas, the kind I remember so clearly. That bright pillar-box red, the little illustrated children in their winter coats, the friendly dog waiting by their side… it has exactly the same feeling as those tins of toffees and shortbread that always seemed to appear around the festive season.The kind you’d open carefully, hoping there were still sweets left inside, and then keep long after to store tiny treasures.

Originally filled with cream toffees (best before 1997!), it’s now a sweet little money box with a coin slot where the letter box would be.

I love pieces like this because they carry a gentle kind of memory with them. They look lovely tucked onto a kitchen shelf, styled with Christmas decorations, or simply used for spare coins or keepsakes. A small everyday object, but full of warmth, colour, and childhood magic.
