Vintage Coastal Blue Studio Pottery Bud Vase | Pen Pot

This is such a beautiful lpiece of vintage studio pottery, with a glaze that instantly made me think of the shoreline - soft sea blues fading into muted grey-green, with a fine band of exposed warm clay running around the middle.

It has a lovely simple shape, slightly flared at the top with a softly rounded rim, and the glaze has that wonderful speckled, almost misty quality that changes subtly as you turn it.

Perfect used as a little vase for a few stems, but I also love it as a pot for pens, pencils or paintbrushes on a desk or studio shelf. A really calming, tactile piece with such beautiful coastal colours.
