Vintage Dartmouth Pottery Devon Boat Candle Holder/Match Pot (with Beeswax Candles)

A beautiful and characterful vintage boat by Dartmouth Pottery, glazed in a gentle palette of soft blue, warm yellow and deep green. A lovely and slightly unusual piece in this particular colour way. 

Shaped as a small working boat, the little cabin rises to hold a candle, and I was so pleased to discover that it fits our handmade Hiraeth cottage beeswax candles perfectly. Because of this, the boat will come with a pair of beeswax candles, ready to be lit and enjoyed straight away.

It feels like the sort of object you might find in a seaside cottage, something brought home fro a gift shop in a brown paper bag and kept close. Whether placed on a shelf, a windowsill or a table, it brings warmth, story and a gentle sense of nostalgia.
