Vintage Enamel Portuguese Cockerel Pot • Match Pot, Cocktail Stick Holder

This joyful little enamel cockerel pot is full of personality and vibrant colour, hand-painted in the traditional folk style of Portugal and finished in a rich enamel gloss. Originally intended as a cocktail stick holder, it’s one of those pieces that invites imaginative reuse, perfect for holding matches, a twisted beeswax candle, or a tiny stem or two of dried flowers.

The colours are bold and bright, with little hearts, dots, and tulip-like motifs scattered across its body. I especially love the contrast of the deep black glaze with the vivid red comb and cobalt blue base.
