Vintage Fajalauza Glazed Studio Pottery Spanish Vase

This beautiful studio pottery vase was made in Granada, Spain. Ceramics from Granada Spain are referred to as Ceramica de Fajalauza. They get this name from one of the six doors on the large wall surrounding the crafts quarters , the “albayzín”, of the city. What is so impressive about Fajalauza ceramics is that it originated in 16th century Granada and is still in existence today.
