Vintage Folk Art Hand-Painted Seaside Wall Hooks

Oh I absolutely love this. A wonderful vintage folk art key hook, handmade from simple wooden boards and hand-painted with the sweetest little seaside scene - a small boy in his sailor suit, toy boat in tow, with a tiny crab scuttling across the sand beside him.

It’s such a nostalgic piece, it immediately takes me back to childhood beach days, sandy shoes and hours spent pottering along the shoreline. I love the timeworn white paint, with just the perfect amount of chippiness - reminiscent of driftwood, salt-washed fences and the old wooden pier posts you find weathered through decades beside the sea.

Finished with four little metal hooks along the bottom, it’s folk art that was made to be admired - practical, imperfect and completely charming. A beautiful little piece of someone else’s seaside story, ready to become part of another.
