Vintage French Enamel Chamberstick - Two Tone Blue & White Floral

I have such a soft spot for old French enamelware, and these chambersticks are some of my favourites to find. There’s something so comforting about them, humble little everyday objects that once lit someone’s way to bed, now ready to bring a warm glow to a corner of your home.

This one is particularly special, with a soft aqua enamel interior and the prettiest hand-painted floral motif, roses and tiny blue blossoms curling gently around the base. The colour feels fresh and nostalgic all at once, and the flowers add that charming touch of French cottage romanticism. There’s noticeable wear around the rim and base, which only enhances its story, the kind of piece that has clearly lived a life and wears its patina beautifully.

The shape is classic and practical: a wide saucer to catch the wax, a slightly raised candle cup, and a curled handle with just the right amount of rustic character.

It’s a lovely piece to style on a bedside table, with books, or anywhere you want a soft, old-world charm.
