Vintage French Studio Pottery Blue Floral Creamer

This one completely stole my heart! A beautiful vintage French studio pottery creamer in the deepest, inkiest blue, the kind of blue that feels almost like the sea just before dusk. The glaze has such depth to it, glossy and rich, with subtle tonal shifts that catch the light beautifully.

Around the belly, delicate handpainted florals bloom in soft white, green and tiny red accents, simple, joyful and perfectly imperfect in that way only handwork can be. And then the detail that really does it for me… the hand-applied white polka dots around the rim. They’re slightly raised, wonderfully tactile, and add the sweetest, playful contrast to the dark glaze.

It has a lovely rounded form, comfortable handle and neat pouring lip, making it as practical as it is decorative. Perfect for cream at the table, milk for coffee, or styled beside the stove holding matches. I also adore these little French creamers as bud vases, a single stem looks so beautiful against that inky blue.
