Vintage French Studio Pottery Sandy Speckled Bottle Vase

A beautiful vintage French studio pottery bottle with the most perfect sandy, speckled glaze.

Its tall, simple form is covered in layers of soft stone, beige and earthy brown, with thousands of tiny speckles scattered across the surface. It’s texture and colour immediately reminds me of the seaside wet sand, weathered stone and all those subtle earthy tones found along the shoreline.

I love the little ridged detail around the neck, breaking up the simplicity of the form and giving it that unmistakably handmade feel.

Beautiful on its own or with a few dried stems, and one of those quiet pieces of pottery that seems to bring a little of the landscape indoors.
