Vintage Handmade Studio Pottery Abstract Jug

A really beautiful piece of vintage studio pottery, wonderfully heavy and substantial in the hand with all the quiet irregularities of something made entirely by hand.

The soft chalky white glaze is washed with the faintest abstract strokes of blush, sand, grey and blue. I love how subtle they are, almost disappearing into the surface in places, reminiscent of the shifting patterns left behind in the sand as the sea retreats.

A wonderfully tactile, one-of-a-kind piece that feels as though it belongs somewhere close to the sea.

There is a small chip to the glaze on the inner rim, barely noticeable when displayed and not detracting from the beauty of the piece.
