Vintage Hungarian Studio Pottery Floral Jug

There’s something so joyful about this piece, a glossy black jug, hand-thrown and hand-painted in Hungary, likely in the Kalocsa region known for its rich folk art traditions. The raised flowers dance around its belly in cheerful blues, whites, yellows, and reds, each one slightly imperfect in the way only handmade things can be.

Inside, the warm terracotta clay peeks through, offering a lovely contrast, like soil to bloom. I love it filled with wildflowers or sea grasses.
