Vintage Mediterranean Studio Pottery Jug

Such a beautiful vintage studio pottery jug, with the most wonderful Mediterranean feel to it. I love the combination of the soft creamy glaze with those hand-painted arches, deep terracotta browns, mustard yellow and leafy green details - every brushstroke has that lovely slightly irregular quality that makes hand-decorated pottery so special.

The shape is gorgeous too, with a wide flared neck, generous rounded body and a beautifully curved handle finished with little painted marks all the way around.

Perfect filled with a handful of garden flowers, used as a little water jug at the table, or simply left empty on a shelf where all that painted detail can be enjoyed. A really special piece of vintage pottery with so much character.
