Vintage Midcentury 1940s/50s Metal Lunch Box - Green & Butter Yellow Worker’s Lunch Tin

A wonderfully timeworn midcentury metal lunch box in the loveliest shade of soft green and butter yellow. The lid is embossed simply with “Lunch Box”, with its original metal clasp and wire handle still intact, a wonderfully practical object from a time when these tins travelled daily to factories, workshops and building sites.

The paint is beautifully worn with age, with plenty of marks and patina that tell the story of a well-used life. It has that honest, utilitarian charm that only truly vintage pieces carry.

Inside, the tin is clean and free from rust, making it perfect today as a small storage box in the kitchen, studio or workshop, lovely for recipe cards, sewing bits, tools, or other little treasures.
