Vintage Midcentury Brass Toast Rack & Preserve Holder with Scalloped Handles

Oh my goodness, how incredible is this piece!? This beautiful 2-in-one toast rack and preserve holder features a matte black body that stands on four little brass feet, inside two milk glass dishes ready to hold jam and butter, topped with a wonderful solid brass toast rack sitting on a glass lid and the most stunning scalloped brass handles.

An incredibly unusual piece of tableware, I’ve never come across anything like this before. It’s delicate, functional and so beautiful - a wonderful piece to elevate a brunch gathering. 

I believe it dates to the 1950s or 60s and is stamped under one handle with ‘Made in England’ - a wonderful example of British made, high quality tableware, they just don’t make them like this anymore!
