Vintage Midcentury Scandinavian Glass Horse and Cart

This is a piece I squirrelled away earlier in the year, the kind of find you know straight away you’re keeping for the right moment.

A beautiful vintage mid-century Scandinavian glass horse and cart, softly moulded and wonderfully weighty, with that quiet magic only clear glass seems to hold. It caught my eye immediately, not just for its form, but for the way it invited imagination. I could see it straight away as a seasonal centrepiece, filled with foraged finds, pinecones, walnuts, a candle glowing gently at its heart.

The cart is generous and practical, made for styling, while the horse itself is full of charm - slightly playful, slightly nostalgic, and perfectly at home amongst wood, ceramics, and natural textures. In winter it feels warm and festive; at other times of year it would be just as lovely filled treasured trinkets, beach finds or sweet treats. 

This is the kind of object that becomes part of a ritual, brought out with the seasons, styled and restyled, and quietly loved over time.
