Vintage One-of-a-Kind Handmade Studio Pottery Clown • Sculptural Jar

A wildly joyful little character, hand-built and hand-painted in true folk art spirit. This charming clown figure doubles as a small lidded jar — the base forming a bowl and the top lifting off to reveal a hollow interior, perfect for housing tiny trinkets and treasures. 

With its ruffled lime green collar, cobalt hat and boots, rosy cheeks, and slightly wonky painted smile, it manages to be full of personality without the usual creep factor (trust me — I’m usually firmly in the anti-clown camp!). There’s something irresistibly sweet about this one.
