A beautiful handmade studio pottery bowl by Salt Marsh Pottery of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, delicately decorated with pressed lily of the valley flowers and foliage beneath a soft, chalky white glaze. The botanical design has such a quiet, woodland feel to it, somewhere between folk art and nature study - with rich green leaves, tiny white blossoms and deep cobalt blue flowers standing out against the muted stoneware background.

Stamped to the reverse with ‘Lily of the Valley’ Salt Marsh Pottery, Dartmouth, MA, with holes for hanging if desired, though it also works beautifully as a small catchall dish for jewellery, matches, sea-worn treasures or beside a bedside candle.
