Vintage Solid Brass Bird Match Holder (Originally a Pipe Rest)

A beautifully sculpted solid brass bird, rich with patina and character. We’ve sold a few of these beauties over the years, but only recently discovered their original use, they were once designed as pipe rests, part of a gentleman’s mid-century smoking set. Today, they make the perfect match holder or candle companion, their elegant form and warm golden hue adding a timeless charm to any space.

We love styling these beside a lit candle, on a mantel or sideboard, where their gentle curves catch the light. A wonderful piece of design history, equal parts functional and poetic.
