Vintage Solid Brass Bow Door Knocker, Nautical Rope Bow

I’ve truly never come across one quite like this! 

A beautifully unusual solid brass door knocker, shaped like a softly tied bow, with delicate rope-like detailing that gives it a subtle nautical feel. It’s one of those pieces that feels both playful and timeless, like something you might find on the door of a tucked-away coastal cottage, weathered by sea air and stories.

The form is just so lovely. The curved arms of the bow fall gently into the rounded knocker, with a satisfying weight to it when lifted. It has that unmistakable aged brass patina too, warm and mellow, with darker tones settled into the creases that only time can create.

I imagine this greeting guests on a wooden door, catching the light in the morning sun… but it would be just as beautiful styled indoors and hung as part of a gallery wall. 

A rare little treasure, full of character and charm, and truly unlike anything I’ve seen before.
