Vintage Solid Brass Horse & Horseshoe Trinket Dish

A beautiful vintage solid brass dish, shaped like a horseshoe with a beautifully sculpted horse curled into the centre. The years have given the brass the most incredible patina, with deep bronze tones and flashes of blue-green verdigris settling into all the little details.

Originally made as an ashtray, but I think it’s far too lovely to hide away - perfect as a little trinket dish, for matches beside the fire, or simply left out as a beautiful object in its own right. Such a special piece.
