Vintage Solid Brass Scallop Shell Clipboard

This wonderful vintage clipboard is crafted from solid brass, with the most gorgeous scallop shell clip and a beautifully aged, warm golden patina.

I think this might just be the perfect piece for anyone who loves the seaside. A little nod to the coast, beautifully made, wonderfully practical and something a little different from the everyday. Living on Anglesey, with the coastline quite literally on my doorstep, I’ve always been drawn to treasures that remind me of the sea, and I fell in love with this one the moment I found it.

Perfect for displaying handwritten recipes in the kitchen, treasured letters, vintage postcards, photographs or little pieces of artwork. I love the idea of filling it with little seaside memories, postcards collected on travels, old photographs and handwritten notes. A beautiful way to make a little collection of meaningful things part of your home.

The solid brass has developed a gorgeous natural patina over the years, with gentle signs of age that only add to its character. Beautiful hung on a kitchen wall, tucked amongst a gallery wall or displayed on a shelf.

A wonderfully unusual vintage treasure, bringing together so many of the things I love about Hiraeth: beautiful old objects, thoughtful details, a little love for the seaside and finding new purposes for things made many years ago.
