A beautiful little piece of British studio pottery by Richard Champion of Yeo Vale Pottery, Devon. Thrown in a classic rounded bottle form and finished in a soft speckled stoneware glaze, this charming planter is decorated with a loose hand-painted cobalt blue brushstroke that winds gently across the surface, giving it a wonderfully organic feel.
Small in scale but full of character, it is perfectly suited to a few garden cuttings, succulents, cacti or herbs in the kitchen. The combination of the tactile speckled glaze and painterly blue decoration feels timeless, equally at home in a cottage kitchen, on a bookshelf, or nestled amongst a collection of favourite studio pottery pieces.
A quietly beautiful example of late 20th-century British studio pottery, handmade in Devon by one of the country’s most respected potters.
