A beautifully hand-thrown stoneware berry strainer, combining traditional function with modern rustic charm. This tactile studio piece features a creamy glaze with deep cobalt brushstrokes radiating across the body—each one slightly irregular and full of character, speaking to the hand of the maker.
Generously pierced on the base and sides for excellent drainage, it’s the ideal vessel for rinsing and serving berries, grapes, or garden tomatoes. Two hand-formed side handles make it easy to grip, while the overall shape is satisfyingly rounded and weighty without being heavy.
The base is signed by the potter, though the mark is partially obscured—typical of small-batch or one-off studio work. Glazed inside and out (apart from the base), the finish is smooth and lightly glossy, with minor variations that reflect its handmade origin.
