Vintage Studio Pottery Butterfly Mug • Blue & Green Glaze

A truly charming studio pottery mug, hand-thrown and decorated with painterly blue butterflies in flight. The cream glaze provides a soft base, while accents of rich cobalt blue, mossy green, and earthy brown bring the delicate motif to life. The butterflies appear almost mid-motion, with expressive brushstrokes that lend the piece a sense of movement and spontaneity.

There’s a beautiful green glaze pooling around the base and inside the rim, adding depth and a touch of the unexpected.

The handle is generously shaped and features a painted butterfly wing, though there are areas on both the handle and rim where the glaze hasn’t fully covered, adding to its rustic, handmade charm.
